The builder
Jacques de Groot has spent four decades building across California: private estates, hillside homes on the hardest lots in the city, and large-scale commercial work alike.
Building runs in the family. His father was a general contractor and a visionary, and his father-in-law was an accomplished builder and developer of large-scale projects, building hotels for Hilton along with condominiums and apartment buildings throughout Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and Hawaii. He grew up around the trade and has carried that standard forward ever since.
